Grasshoppers are one of the most important terrestrial food sources for trout during the warmer months. When hoppers are blown into the water along grassy banks, cutbanks, and open meadows, trout often feed aggressively. Dave’s Foam Body Hopper effectively imitates these large insects and consistently produces explosive surface strikes.
Its high-floating design also makes it an excellent choice for dry-dropper presentations, providing enough flotation to support a trailing nymph while maintaining a natural drift.
