The Stone Creek™ Bumble Bee is a fun and highly effective terrestrial dry fly designed to imitate bees and other large insects that frequently find their way onto the water during late summer and early autumn. Its bold profile, natural coloration, and excellent visibility make it a proven attractor pattern for opportunistic trout feeding near the surface.
Terrestrial insects often become an important food source when aquatic hatches slow down, and trout rarely pass up the opportunity to feed on a struggling bee. The Bumble Bee excels along grassy banks, under overhanging vegetation, and near shoreline structure where insects commonly fall into the water.
Its buoyant design also makes it an outstanding dry-dropper indicator fly, allowing anglers to suspend nymphs below while maintaining excellent visibility and flotation.
