Built with a durable foam body and bright white hair wings, this fly rides high on the water and remains easy to track even in rough currents and challenging light conditions.
When cicadas are active, trout often feed aggressively on these large insects, creating some of the most explosive surface strikes of the season. The Black Foam Cicada is ideal for fishing along grassy banks, under overhanging trees, near shoreline structure, and anywhere terrestrial insects regularly fall into the water.
Its buoyant foam construction also makes it an excellent dry-dropper fly, capable of supporting larger nymphs while serving as a highly visible strike indicator.
